post-care

ALL PMU PROCEDURES

  • DO NOT PICK!!

  • Allow flaking to naturally come off, picking could lead to scarring and or poor color retention because it pulls the color out of your skin causing scarring.

  • Do not apply any products or makeup on pmu area other than the provided aftercare for a minimum of 7 days.

  • Do not work out, swim or sweat excessively for the first 10 days.

  • Avoid taking large bites of food that stretch your mouth excessively until all flaking is done (lips only).

EYELINER POST CARE

  • Day of OPTIONAL: if your eyes still feel swollen or uncomfortable in the evening, before bed apply a thin layer of balm, a clean paper towel, then use an ice pack for 10 minutes. Gently blot off balm afterwards. Do NOTwash until the following morning.

  • Wash the eye area twice a day with baby shampoo for 7-10 days. Use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area, including in the lash line. Rinse well, and pat dry gently with a paper towel or a CLEAN cotton towel.

  • For thicker eyeliners, aftercare ointment can be applied to relieve tightness/discomfort while healing. Apply a very thin layer to freshly washed skin.

LIP BLUSH POST CARE

  • BALM: Keep lips hydrated. Apply provided aftercare as often as necessary to keep lips moist. Use provided aftercare for a minimum of 10 days, as lips heal.

  • Wear SPF once healed.

  • Brush teeth with children's toothpaste, or just water for the first 1-3 days (minty could sting).

what to expect

Swelling in the first 3 days is common.

FOR EYES

Day 1-3:
Eyes feel sore and heavy, possibly red and stingy. Swelling may occur and eyes will start to form scabs.

Day 4-5:

Swelling reduces and eyes start to feel normal. Skin may feel dry and itchy, scabs start to peel and look patchy.

Day 6-7:

70-100% of scabs fall off in this time. Color may look very light and thinner, color may look uneven.

Week 2-4:

Deep healing is going on and color will start to return as the skin heals more thoroughly.

Week 8: TOUCHUP  TIME!

FOR LIPS:

Mild swelling, itching, redness, light scabbing, light bruising and dry tightness can be normal. Ice packs are a nice relief (wrapped in a moist, clean, lint free towel) and aftercare balm can relieve itching and tightness.

Once flaking has happened, pigment can appear to have all faded off. This is due to the buildup of collagen under your skin while your tissues heal.

Don't worry! Your color will come back as your body reabsorbs the collagen.
